Tip: How to pevent and overcome jetlag

Jet Lag is when you change timezones too quickly. Below are some simple tips that you can take in order to overcome / prevent jetlag.
  • Drinking plenty of water
  • Avoid alcohol (hard to do so because they are free?)
  • Avoid caffeine based drinks
  • Get as much exercise as possible by stretching in your seat and walking up and down the plane
  • Adjusting your watch to the destination time to psychologically adjust
  • Once you arrive have a shower
  • Try to adapt to the new time zone as fast as possible by exposing yourself as much as you can to the sun to adjust to the new environment and staying up and going to bed at an appropriate time for the new time zone even if this means staying up
  • Travel westwards instead of eastwards, by doing so you are traveling with time and not against time. If you are traveling eastwards then make sure you have an eyeband or an eye cover so that you can fool yourself that its already night.
  • Sleep in the plane according to the destination time.
